They finished in the top 5 in the conference in recruiting 5 out of 6 times,...and 3rd (2x).

Things have really falling off there.


2021 - 7th
2022 - 9th
2023 - Currently 14th, last with only 3 recruits (least in the conference)
2024 - No commitments.

I remember one time when Auburn paid the dad of a player a lot of money if he would tell his son to go to Auburn to play football. After he accepted the cash bag and told his son where to go, Auburn sent a driver to Gainesville FL to pick him up from the jailhouse after he was arrested for thievery. The driver bailed him out and drove him back to Auburn to play QB.
