Go out with a bang. Run wildcat l, triple option, west coast, and or air raid from week to week. If we are going to go out, let’s go out pulling out every trick in the book and at least make this offense entertaining.

I’m not talking about opening the playbook. I’m talking about scrapping the current one and starting from scratch.

You can't read Phil Steele's magazine until you learn the alphabet.

The 'first page' of the playbook is the basic stuff (i.e., the alphabet).

The players have to get that down before they can go to page 2 (i.e., see Jane run, see Spot run.)
