Anyone else think GT will be our toughest game in Sept? For some reason

Bobby Dodd has been a house of horrors for Clemson with the exception of 2015-2020 (22 game was at MBS in Atlanta). Tech took UGA to 8 OT's to end last season while Dabo and Co. could only hang with UGA for a half last year. It could be a very tough away game.

They're going to be better than most people think. Next is LSU, after that is anyone's guess TBH.

Probably not. I was in ATL in 2016 when we stomped them with D4W, but it won't be that easy this time around.
Their current HC is impressive.
(When we play UGA we tend to play terrible and since football isn't transitive I don't think there is any correlation between them playing UGS to 8 OTs and our defense getting outcoached badly last year against the Dawgs.... we'd have lost 8 of our last 9 yo Syracuse, NC State, etc.....if we played them the same way we've been playing the Dawgs)

Yes you are correct- Athens but that wasn't my point that they played UGA tough at Bobby Dodd. I knew it was in Athens back in November. It was more that they have improved greatly under Brent Key and not so much that Bobby Dodd was tough however Clemson had some stinkers there under Bowden and West.

I agree. Love their coach. Seems like he really knows what he’s doing.
It’s also crazy that after a decade or so of bad coaching in our conference (aside from Dabo) we now have a lot of solid coaches.

Absolutely, Been saying this awhile too.
While some peg Louisville as the second most challenging game I have the yellow jackets
Most will cite last years upset loss to the Cards as reason for concern , prior to that we were 8-0 against the cards head to head.
Brent Key has these guys believing and they're playing good football
Watched them play FSU just the other day and Haynes King returns at QB along with RB Haynes who was more than a handful in addition to 3 Olinemen that opened up massive holes to run through.
If we dramatically improve tackling the ball carrier ( check ) we should be ok since the biggest threat King poses at QB is running the ball.
They switch up QBs on passing downs ( Philo ) which is a bit of a tell to Allen. Advantage Allen
We should move the ball easily however. Clemson 29 GT 20

Since LSU is in August, absolutely Tech will be the toughest game in September.

I think our D and O Lines are going to man handle the ACC teams this season including Gt. In two maybe 3 of last years losses it was our inability to tackle, we simply did not wrap up and drag down. This year we will be much better at tackling and we are not playing the triple option when we did not understand how to scheme it.
We will handle Gt by the time the 4th Qtr rolls around.

UGA was a better team in the begining of the season

Remember this under Dabo before our elite run? If you watch the highlights towards the end we had on all purple at GT. When did Dabo restrict purple to military appreciation only?

Very well could be the toughest game, even though LSU has something to say about that first.. GT is the dark horse ACC team this year, it really depends on our Defense and I fell better about that every day knowing what TA brings to the table... look for a tight game going into the 4th quarter with a Clemson win, like 31 to 24 ...
