A thought about Riley and the 2026 OC.

Seems like more and more folks are thinking Dabo will replace Riley.
Here is my question: Is there any chance Dabo would make Matt Luke the OC and then go out and hire a QB coach?
Note: I'm thinking most people would not be happy with that decision if it should occur. I was just wondering if anybody who is much closer to the situation than I am has heard any rumor it might be a possibility.

Jeff Scott is not coaching football again. He just started a construction company. You think he can handle both?!

My (uninformed) guess is that if it happens, it would either be Matt Luke or an outsider unaffiliated with the program. Jeff Scott still doesn’t want it. Tony Elliot has Virginia rolling. There’s no other good internal or former internal option.

Pay the UGA OC WHATEVER IT TAKES TO GET HIM TO CLEMSON AND LET HIM HIRE HIS ASST COACHES. DABS COULD GIVE UP A FEW MILLION OF HIS 11.5 MILLION TO GET IT DONE. HE HAS NOT EARNED THAT HIGH SALARY IN THE PAST 5 YEARS.
GET RID OF HALF OF THE F&F COACHES AND STAFF AND DO NOT REPLACE THEM. USE THAT MONEY TO PAY TOP RECRUITS.
PIT ME IN CHARGE OF MAKING PERSONNEL DECISIONS AND I COULD HAVE CLEMSON COMPETING FOR A NATTY IN 2 YEARS.

Not to mention they where after him with torches and pitchforks at USuCk. I worked in Cootville and listen to chicken radio every morning just for the delusion & comedy of those idiots! I'd rather not see Bobo anywhere near here.

Kade Bell - Pitt OC is who I like
Nov 19, 2025, 10:08 PM

Son of Kerwin Bell of U if FL QB fame.
Whether Kade Bell gets credit for developing superstar in true FR Heintshell or whether he recognized talent in a low rated HS QB, who knows.
But I’m impressed with Pitt’s offense and what they have done with unheralded HS recruits and transfers.

If he retains Garrett Riley he needs to let him hire his own assistants and run his own offense. Same goes if he hires a new OC.
Same also goes with Tom Allen. Let him hire his own position coaches.
Clean house on the assistants and position coaches. Let the coordinators you have brought in actually do the job you are paying for.

Contracts can be bought out. 2 years seems short.
