28 three point shots. Why would anyone in any game allow their team to take 28 three point shots? Just the sheer number of 3 point shots tells you what went wrong last night.
But it is easier to stand behind the 3 point line and chuck up shots than it is to work for position inside.

I dont mind the 3 ball...You cant just live in the post and expect to win games...My issue is we have a PG who is an absolute liability as a scorer. Chase Hunter scored 4 points last night and 2 of which were from the charity stripe. He shot a whopping a .09% last night from the field. Thats just absolutely pathetic. Because he cant get it going they are having to rely on Hall, to have to chunk up 3s which isn't a strong suit of his game. Hunter cannot graduate fast enough and get away from this program. Brownell needs to go out and get a proven PG who can command the flow and tempo of the strategy.

He shot 12.5% from the field (1-8). .09% would be if he shot 1-1111.

If PJ Hall gets 3-4 open 3s because people leave him alone out there and makes 1 or 2 of them, that seems fine to me.

But he can't stand around out there beyond the 3 point line and jack up 10 and only making 2 of them. That's at least 5 or 6 wasted possessions, by which I mean "A better opportunity to score than having your center take and miss yet another a 3."

I don't agree with this idea that it's an either/or situation. There were several times when I saw a post player get double teamed, and the other guys mostly camped out along the 3 point line. I didn't see much movement to get the double teamed player an outlet, and I certainly didn't see a lot of cutting to the basket.
