Williams as the second receiver in the class coming off at 14. I know he is an NFL starter - but would not have pegged him at the top or ear the top of the WR class. Perhaps I need to get a stronger ###### for the orange in my glasses?

Fans look at the bad and overlook the good, while NFL GMs and scouts look at bodies, speed and talent and Antonio Williams checks all those boxes.

One of the reasons he came back was that he wasnt considered even a top 10 WR in last years class. The idea he's suddenly going to be a top 14 pick next draft seems a bit far fetched to me since the NFL didn't appear to hold him in particularly high value before. Would love to see it though.

.... discussing FSU upcoming season, there are 4 games that are definitely tougher then the rest: Bama, Clemson, Miami, Florida.
I think, and many agree with me, that Clemson is the toughest game on that schedule. I'm hoping we can win 1 of those four, and possibly even win 2. But, I'm essentiay writing the Clemson game off as a loss, barring soemthing like a driving rainstorm, unexpectledly getting 5 or 6 turnovers, or injuries decimating Clemson before the game. You don't wish for the last and you can't control the weather. So, you just look at the talent.
Here is what I see on the Clemson roster:
First, Clemson is more talented than FSU at every position group, with the possible exception of RB where both teams are filled with unknowns and question marks.
But, it's not only quality of depth, it is quality at the top.
Clemson has the potential to have
1st QB taken in draft.
1st WR taken in draft.
1st DE taken in draft.
1st DT taken in draft.
So, yeah, I think Clemson is far and away the toughest game on the Nole schedule this year.
Clemson, talent at the top and depth hasthe ability to line up and play with anybody this year.
The unknowns and questions are.
1. Can you stay healthy? Nobody wins a championship without staying healthy.
2. Can you find a running back, or backs, who can make the running game good (not elite, but better than just adequate)?
3. How much will the defense improve under the new coaching staff?
4. How much will the OL improve with this being Luke's 2nd year?
The answer to those questions will determine whether Clemson will be a team struggling to get to Charlotte or a team seriously competing for the national championship. I expect it will be the latter.

I'd say in 1 year the OL got 10% better under Luke and I expect a greater jump this year.
If Allen is able to get a 5% improvement this is probably an undefeated regular season team.

IMO, all I have seen from him so far is flashes. I have not seen the man that we thought was next Wilkins or Lawrence. I believe he is a real talent. I just want to see consistency. If it happens
and the line backers do their job, I am thinking this will be a very good tiger D.

If these players produce like expected, then this Clemson team is loaded!!! I can honestly say, I have seen some Clemson teams that produce, but this analogy on this particular team is very impressive....
