I agree that he has a bunch of way over-produced and overly dramatic, almost clownish stuff, but THAT particular album is rock-solid. It is truly and deservedly one of the all-time classics. Not a weak song on it. You can count the albums you can say that about on 1, or at most, 2 hands.
And he is SPECTACULAR in concert. I say that having seen hundreds of live shows in my life. Dude puts everything he has into a concert, true greatness.
He has ALL my respect.

He and Jim Steinman were a perfect storm on that record. And as for live...at least on the Bat tour, the show was phenomenal in every respect. The Kulick brothers played guitar on that tour before Bruce went to Kiss and then to where he currently is with Grand Funk. Saw Grand Funk this past July 4th. Bruce Kulick still has killer chops.
