It'll suck to not have him next year, but he's got a bright future ahead of him. I could see him being an awesome setup man or reliever. Not sure he'd be a great MLB starter, but I think he'd frustrate people for an inning or two.

You can bet the deal was done and agreed upon long before they called his name. They are not going to risk losing that slot money by taking a player they are not 100% sure they can sign. GOOD FOR HIM!!!!!
