208 N Clemson Ave house is gone, literally, it is amazing what they can remove in just a few days

House was built ~1922, on a beautiful lot with old hardwoods, 2 old dudes lived there from what I observed, they would sit alot on the front deck behind some tarps and watch sports and talk constantly

the attached picture does not do it justice, the house was beat up and not maintained, I think they had a blue tarp on the roof for over 5 years but that didn't stop lots of water damage inside of the house

Don't know for sure, but I imagine somebody died or needed too much help to live there, or maybe it was just so ###### up inside that it was not healthy to live there

Anyway, the guy that owns Esso bought it maybe even before it hit the market, the lot was cleared clean, and they have planted grass and it will be used for tailgating or maybe Esso overflow parking, Esso guy wants to build a duplex on it with another small house in the back but maybe that will happen in the future

he died not too long ago. He was in bad health for awhile. Guy I know went to visit him before he died and said house was practically unlivable inside, resembled more of a garage or workshop than a house.

The guys who bought it told J Roy they were gonna buy it if he ever sold or passed away. And they did. No big surprise to the locals.

Although not a particularly big guy, Goober gave him free reign to push us around (which he seemed to enjoy). This may not be a popular statement but I always found J Roy to be a bit of a pr*ick.
