Jun 19, 2022, 7:24 AM

I don't believe it will have a huge effect on attendance ...I'm sure it will to an extent...The price for fuel is going to hold steady to get us accustomed to it...I doubt we'll see $3 a gallon anymore but one can have dreams.

No difference in attendance.

to budget to fit in games.

Some of us actually set aside money to afford the GameDay experience, money which is no longer there.

Rising gas prices directly effect inflation and consumables. Throw in the NIL and ticket prices/concessions rising - already sky high. People aren't going to pay $10 for a coke or $12 for 2 oz of dipping dots when you can watch the game at home in HD on your 75'4k TV. Unproven 18 yo kids worth millions before ever playing a snap of CFB is not going to fly well with your average educated person busting their @Ss'ss to make 75k per year. They will find diferent ways to spend their money. Unless things change, I see most big boy stadiums half full in the next few years.

Football attendance decreased nationwide 3.9% last year which marked the 7th year in a row for a decrease. The economy is bound to have a negative effect on attendance, even at Clemson.

In 2008 the economy dropped and affected attendance. However that was a different time and team.

I do see it having a small effect. For instance, for those who travel 3 hours or more, I can easily see some of them deciding to skip a particular game to save a few hundred dollars.

It will only be noticeable at the Furman and LA Tech games.

college football attendance has been going up rather substantially since 2020, this following a slight decline after 2019, which i at the time attributed to other fanbases basically giving up due to Clemson’s domination of the sport
