Sadly, that is the same logic used by many of those who get a vote in the AP poll. I'm looking forward to the CFP poll, which is the only one that matters.

You are thinking in terms of us not playing ranked teams more than likely. But, the committee isn't looking at any team as ranked. B/C basically there is no rank if "they didn't rank them". Then - they look at on the final vote - who won their conference. If that team is undefeated - criteria A. Then B - is among the top 4 of other undefeated P5 teams - they are in.
The PAC 12 cannot produce an undefeated team this season. The SEC, Big 10, Big 12 and ACC can.
In short, just keep winning! Everything else will take care of itself. Subjectivity was supposedly taken out and region loyalty taken out by going by this criteria. Now once multiple teams have losses - yes - the door is open and we should(assuming we are the one with a loss) start worrying. Until then - nah, we don't necessarily need to smoke BC by 30 plus.
P.S. if you SEC folks want it changed you should have changed it sooner or not agree to it in the 1st place. Not Sorry like a Reeses commercial!

but I think its more important as far as optics are concerned that Trevor play well....as in 300+ yds, 4 TDs and 0 Ints. The national media (even last week) judged our game based solely on Trevors 1st quarter and nothing else. People seem to think its all TL and we go as he goes.

How we look is 100% unimportant. ..
The only ranking that matters is the cfp committee rankings. And the only one of those that matters is the last one in December.
The 2014 national champions were ranked #6 in the 1st ever CFP rankings.
Clemson needs to win each game.. that is all.
I don't know how many times this has to be told to you before it stinks in.
