Also, people are not talking about that second flag that we got on offence that really hurt us. I didn’t see OPI. Guess a judgment call. These are their part-time jobs. They’re human beings and they like sports or they wouldn’t be refs. So I’m sure some like gambling as well.

Completely disagree. Wake fans have been - legitimately - raising this same gripe after the debacle at the end of the Wake-GT game where a blatant off-sides was simply not called. Had it been called, the game would be over. The GT defender is probably still in the neutral zone right this very moment. And that play likely was far more critical in the grand scheme of things: Wake would have a victory and a tie breaker over GT in the conference standings but for an egregious non-call.

ACC officiating this year has been at its worst in years; Clemson is just the latest to have to deal with it. I wanted Dickert to raise a freaking stink about the call in the GT game and get fined for it. But that's a tall ask of a first-year coach with no conference track record. Dabo on the other hand has much more ability to speak his mind.

Agreed. This isn’t anything new people been screaming at college officiating and especially the ACC for years. I haven’t agreed with Dabo much lately, but he’s dead on with this. There is way too much at stake now, and the gambling thing only adds more skepticism when you see some of these calls.

For everybody that is saying that Dabo needs to move past this is wrong. If he moves past this and doesn't demand that refs are held accountable for bad or missed calls, then everyone would be saying that he is a terrible coach for not standing up for his players. Many games have been lost or chances missed for teams because a ref made a call that was clearly wrong or missed and can't be reviewed. He is more than right for asking that refs be held accountable for making #### poor calls. Especially ones that can severely affect the outcome of a game such as this.

Dabo is 100% correct. It was clearly offensive pass interference. The announcers said this immediately. The defender has I right to position on the field and intercepting the pass. The offensive receiver cant run oved or push the defender, which is exactly what he did. Too important of a call to not be able to challenge. Coaches should have 3 unreviewable foul challenges a game! The refs have too much ability to completely ruin any game and change the outcome. This is unfair. Refs make bad calls ALL THE TIME, as proven by the reverses made on reviewable calls!!!

throughout the game to show the real reason for the dreadful outcome? As Coach Wooden said, a team should be good enough that officiating does not determine the game. We were obviously not good enough on Saturday. How about the D getting a stop in that final 90+ yd drive while playing in front of a home crowd? I wish he would focus on that which is something he can control. I guess windshield mentality is a selectively applied term.

Set aside the defensive performance - that's already been publicly criticized, discussed, and dissected, including by Coach Swinney, himself. But, his public criticism, discussion, or dissection of officiating incurs a $10k fine. That's his whole point, and, apparently, he's the only coach or administrator in this conference willing to make it. And we aren't the only team to get absolutely jobbed by the refs this season.

The officiating in some games make me wonder if the officials are on the take or if all of this is just K-Fabe.

it is very obvious that disney corp is 100% of all of the problems in cfb they have pushed:

they arrange media payouts with different leagues, deciding who they want ahead by the dollar amounts

their propaganda networks promote the teams and leagues they want to come out on top and they repeat their preferences ad-nauseum on every one of their networks and outlets - manipulating recruiting and possibly outcomes and slandering people who don't go along with their 'vision'. they repeat it so often that some mindnumbed robots buy into every drooling sentence they utter. (I have even seen their propaganda on this board)

Now their network owns a huge sports betting site so suddenly the ncaa says it's fine for even players to bet on games. Mind you, The late, great Pete Rose ol' Charlie Hustle himself is banned from admission into the HOF for his betting when he was a manager, not a player - regardless of his stellar playing career.

They have bought the sport lock, stock and barrel. Schools don't even control what time their games will be played in their home stadiums anymore.

get rid of this poison to right the ship, there is no other way.

I could go on, but it's pointless because some people foolishly think their ownership of cfb just fine.

a quick adjudication. The "system" already does this for any targeting call and wouldn't be difficult to implement. As we've seen with the targeting reviews - many times the call on the field is incorrect so to think that the refs are making all the other penalty calls correctly is fantasy.

We definitely don't need to slow the game down with every penalty being reviewed by the booth and that is why I would severely limit penalty video reviews to strictly challenges with each team only getting one or two per game. I would also make it to where the challenge could include a "missed" penalty that could be reviewed. If such a system were available Wake Forest would have beaten GA Tech earlier this year (those of you that watched the game know what I'm talking about).

Ultimately - we all want an accurately called game. A limited challenge video review system would allow coaches the opportunity to get a second opinion in critical situations/questionable calls - especially where those calls/no calls can alter the outcome of a game.

I enjoy Clemson fans(?) and those from other teams telling Dabo to get "over it" with bad refereeing...until it happens to their team. The avoidance of this "elephant in the room" needs to be addressed and reviewed. It's been a problem since 1869 when Princeton played Rutgers in the 1st college football game...and Princeton is still complaining about the bad call that cost them the game 6-4, but I digress. Coaches (and ADs) have been told to shut up or they will face consequences. If the various college leagues and the NCAA (aka College Presidents and Chancellors) who have continue to keep their heads in the sand, one day we'll have another NIL and portal cluster situation...and let the courts get involved (read gambling/betting) and it will really get FUBARed!
