to move from Conference USA to the Sunbelt.

While I do think the Sunbelt is a better conference, is it really worth the trouble of moving?

Seems like a lateral move at best.

Not just Clemson... they're also playing at LSU, Washington State and Missouri State. They may not get the entire $5million this year, but they'll put a big dent in it:

Many of us were questioning the Tommy Bowden until the Louisiana Tech upset in Boise . That win got us set up for the 2002 run!

Given the Sunbelt pays our about 3x what Conference USA does I would say its a good move. I don't get why the Sunbelt doesn't go after Liberty too. They would be a great addition.
