agree this doesnt look good on Allen if he thinks Woodaz is improving. He has gotten worse!!!

No one on this team is showing improvement.
"Showing improvement" is as irritating as says, "We were just a couple of plays away"
There's nothing about the teams record that says anyone has gotten better.

who has been in this program for four years. He shouldn’t be showing improvement at this stage of his career, he should be kicking a$$ and taking names. Unfortunately, he’s just another example of a player who is going to leave here no better than he was as a Freshman and Sophomore.

...having to play him so much. I remember watching his HS highlight videos and wondering what the staff saw in this kid.
He'd make for a solid 2/3 deep, no way starter material.

I have to disagree. Being a senior doesn't excuse you from being able to make improvements. There is no such thing as the perfect athlete. All throughout your career you want to find ways to improve. It doesn't matter if you have just started or about to retire. A true athlete ALWAYS will try to improve his skills no matter how long he participates in his/her sport.

Woodaz is probably a special teams guy, maybe a 3-deep player, not a starter for a serious P4 program.

Agreed. Woodaz, the team captain, has the LSU RB dead to rights in the backfield. Everyone in the stands in my area stood up ready to cheer with fire. After a soft hit and no wrap, the LSU RB continued running for about 20 yards. A few comments like "Soft", "WTH was that?" and more were heard. Then everyone sat down - some to not get back up the rest of the game.

I agree that Woodaz has been very disappointing this year so far, isn't showing much improvement, and should probably be benched for Jeremiah Alexander.
But do some of yall not understand that Tom Allen installed a new defense this year? Based on all the people saying "hEs a sEniOr hOw dOeS hE sTiLl nEeD iMpRoVeMeNt?" I'm gonna assume not.
However yes we installed a new offense and this is Woodaz's first year playing in it just like everyone else on the team. I tend to think that the problem is that the new scheme SUCKS more than it is the fault of our players.
I mean #### go look at the tape of Penn State any time they played a good offense last year (which wasn't very often). And then before that, how long had it been since he was calling plays? He needs to go and we need someone younger, hungrier, and with a better more fresh scheme. We also need someone who will get off his @$$ and go recruit!

I don't analyze this stuff, but if I'm an opposing OC, I isolate my RB on him for a screen pass every single play.
