Funny how the SEC Bowl games were stacked.

Looking at the list of games below I can't say that the mighty SEC proved much of anything. The only game matchup I tip my hat to is the Ole Miss win over GT. To the rest of the matchups I say B.F.D.
L: 3 Alabama vs 11 Oklahoma W: 8 Missouri vs 13 Oklahoma State W: 9 South Carolina vs 19 Wisconsin W: 16 LSU vs NR Iowa W: 21 Texas A&M vs 24 Duke W: 22 Georgia vs NR Nebraska W: NR Vanderbilt vs NR Houston << American Athletic Conference W: NR Miss State vs NR Rice << Conference USA W: NR Ole Miss vs NR Georgia Tech

The SEC has made their bowl contracts on the basis...

of having one of their schools playing a much easier opponent in most of their bowl games.

And I think most people would say that even though Duke lost and had more wins during their season, the way they played against a highly touted ATM exposed the fact that SEC teams aren't just automatically better than everybody else just because they play in that conference.

Actually the SEC gets screwed if you go by conference

standings. A lot of times the SEC team is playing a team that is ranked higher in their conference standings than they are. For example the AAC # 5 plays SEC #9. Music City Bowl is ACC #6 vs SEC #7. Cotton Bowl is Big 12 #2 vs SEC #3. Outback Bowl is Big 10 #3 vs. SEC #4. Gator Bowl is Big 10 #5 vs SEC #6. Chick Fil A is ACC #2 vs SEC #3. The fact that those SEC teams were ranked higher actually supports the argument that the conference is strong as a whole, which I don't think you wanted to do.

This year the Chik Fil A bowl had the number number 5 SEC team, which two is par for the course. The SEC always sends 4 or more before the Chik Bowl.

SEC is the highest football revenue conference, biggest stadiums, highest paid coaches, so naturally they get better recruits on average.
They need more bowl games with pac12, which is now considered second best conference. Beating up on big10, conference USA, etc. and claiming conference supremacy is comical.
Don't forget their two top 10 teams last bowl season that lost. Florida smoked by AAC Louisville, and we knocked off LSU who was a play away from beating Bama that year.
Just would like to see like an Oregon vs A&M, SCAR vs UCLA/Stanford, Bama vs Clemson(OU was good though).
I mean LSU vs Iowa? Way to make me not watch a bore fest.
One of the best games being ATM vs Duke speaks volumes.

I agree, I'm getting tired of the same old conference match

ups. They need to rotate so different conferences play each other. I have no facts for it, but I bet it hurts bowl attendance too. Who wants to go see your team play a team from the same conference year after year?
