Muschamp hopes methodical approach leads to upset
Will Muschamp has been at South Carolina for less than a year, but he’s heard about Clemson since day one. The Tigers own a two-game winning streak over the Gamecocks and, but Muschamp’s message to his team has been simple. They don’t have to be spectacular, just solid to upset No. 4 Clemson. They can't beat us by just playing well and hard. For Clemson to lose, Clemson has to beat Clemson.

Nice because he's a such a tool along with their fan base. I like he he doesn't know our ranking but knows everybody that plays. Yeah right. Using that "whatever/wherever" word again like we heard the players the other day. They truly believe they are a good team because they are bowl religionless and beat an overrated Tennessee team. Muschamp and his gang aren't going to know what hit them. Like they used to say about fighting mike Tyson "everyone had a good plan until they took that first hit".

If Coots stay away from their normal BS, then could signal that hey are starting to internalize performance.

I'm sorry, but them playing "solid" will not get it done on Saturday. They would have to play spectacular, and the Tigers would have to make a ton of mistakes for the chickens to have any chance. These clowns remind me of OU last year, lots of talk. Can't wait until tomorrow. Spot the #### ball!

Playing methodical will not win the game, but if Clemson starts making mistakes it allows them linger around within striking distance. I hope we play clean football (no turnovers and limited penatlities) and put them soundly away when we smell blood in the water. This is game where you can't take your foot off the gas.

Pitt played methodically, not perfectly ... but won.

The Tigers have shown the propensity to let off the gas, let teams stick around and turn the ball over at critical times. If you can't beat Clemson physically then this seems to be the only course of action; play solidly, fast (we couldn't handle it with Pitt - we were often unprepared to play when the ball was snapped), physically and opportunistically. Their only hope is to do those things and hope that we beat ourselves. It seems like a pretty sound gameplay to me.

The Capons aren't nearly as good offensively as Pitt....

Statistically speaking, $CU is a little better defensively but that is largely the result of playing such a weak schedule.

Agreed; but it's still their best chance of winning.

It's not going to happen but it could make for a nice moral victory like last year

Weak Schedule? USC has a weak Schedule? THAT IS NOT TRUE!!!! I JUST WATCHED ESPN AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THE SEC IS THE TOUGHEST, GREATEST, HARDEST HITTING, BADDEST, STRONGEST, MOST WINNINGEST CONFERENCE IN ALL OF FOOTBALL AND THAT THERE IS THE SEC AND E'RY BODY ELSE!. IT was apparently an HONOR to even be able to have a GAME with them this weekend. And Georgia Tech and Florida State were ALSO honored to have been able to beat the mighty SEC. Louisville basically got diarrhea from Kentucky Fried Chicken.

No Will , you're awfully wrong . On your teams part it WILL take a flawless game , and it WILL require them to be perfect . Even then , you'll lose ...but to keep it respectable you'll need a lot of help from Clemson and your team will need to play about 1000% above their pay grade .

Well, as it turns out, Muschamp was 100% correct. His methodical hopes were upset. The Great Chicken in the Sky has dyslexia.
