The one thing I do not want to hear next year......

I don't want to hear how young we are. Brownell has now had three players transfer. 2 would be Jrs. next year and 1 would be Sr. You can no longer blame OP for our depth problems.

I think BB is an excellent game planner, as is evident by how close we were in a lot of games. Offensively, Blossomgame and Coleman will need to contribute a lot. KJ will need to help take over games. But in the end we will need to rely on the bigs that we do have, granted looking at the current roster may not be much, to operate within the system to hold their own.
We will have to wait and see.

We will be taller at center with Nnoko at 6'10" but little depth if any behind him.
We were close in a lot of games this year and I too hope that the players learn how to close the deal rather than leave the door open at the end of games.
Losing Sullivan we do lose some height but in all reality we lose 1 point per game.

I have only been a tiger fan for 50 some years and man I am as frustrated as anybody is about the state of our program. Brownell is a good coach, I believe that with all my heart. He will have no excuses next year no matter how young a team he has. I see some bright spots for next year, primarily that the two seniors are gone. I don't think either were very strong leaders and our insistence on trying to get it to Booker underneath was hardly successful most of the year. Much of the time the passes were late or our big men didn't make very good attempts to get to the ball. Many of the games it was asking for a turn over without a shot to even try to get it to them. I would much rather shoot from outside and take our chances. I think Roper can be a great shooter and evidently Rooks has great potential as an outside shooter. Those two can open things underneath for Nnoko or whomever may be playing for us underneath. McKenzie and Blossomgame are both more athletic than most anybody we have had in awhile so I look for improvement in at least three positions next year with at least the same quality in the other positions.

I hate hearing "Jennings was OP's recruit". Does anyone

actually believe that BB would not have recruited Milton Jennings?
He may not have landed him based off what we've seen from his recruiting, but you've gotta be crazy if you think he wouldn't have recruited the guy.

Lack of seniors will still be on OP.
That is a fact. Stanton was never meant as a long term player.
He was brought in due to only having ONE PG on the roster for the next year.
edit due to a mistake.

How ###### is it as a coach to bring someone in and them kick them to the curb.
I don't think Brownell actually did this, but the way 117 talks, Brownell basically used Stanton then threw him away.

lol that is not even close to what I said.
Stanton was brought in to fill a whole and was out recruited in a hurry.
He then left.
Simple as that.

Do you guys not realize that Brownell would not have even made the tourney had it not expanded that year. Even so, he made it to the final 64, same as OP.

if a frog had wings he wouldn't but his butt every time he jumps.
Fact is the field did expand, fact his he did make it, fact is his win counts as a tourney win. I don't care who's players it was, he was the coach and they used his scheme.
Will BB get it done at Clemson, I don't know....but I'm not going to sell him short either. He gets another year!!

Agree that without progress next season we need to start looking, but your reasoning is just plain wrong. The transfers up until now were directly a result of OP leaving and he is the reason our depth sucks. With that said Brownell's players are now experienced and we should begin to see improvement.

Yea Nova a team from the Big East not a play in game against a Sun Belt team. We haven't sniffed the tournament since that "monumental" victory over UAB.
