…for at least one Tiger superfan.
I took my five year old to his first game yesterday, and suffice it to say, he was smitten. My dad took me to my first game 09.26.87, and I’ve basically been planning to take my kids on the same schedule for the past 36 years - as you’ll see in the pics, I even saved my shirt.
Our offensive ineptitude wasn’t discussed. Zero mention of NIL or the portal. Just wide eyes and manic energy and demands that we get back to Death Valley ASAP.
Y’all enjoy this crisp autumn Sunday knowing that if all else fails, Dabo has at least one more 5-star recruit sewn up (he’s also gotta ten month old little brother…feeling good about our chances there, too 😉)

I feel you! My Dad took me to my first game in Death Valley in 1978. I remember watching our tigers holding Heisman winner George Rogers in check. I was there when we lost to UVA the first time. I watched elite UNC teams battle us to a baseball score many times.
I have since hosted my father on many tailgating and game days in Death Valley. Football brings families together. Cherish those memories and please repost when your son brings you to the game down the road!

That is outstanding and what it really is all about. Had my 14 yr old son w me and 2 of his friends (Aub and Uga) and may have even converted one. Great day and miss my dad (though he was Uga too so I saw Herschel from the other side)

Yesterday was my six year old’s first game (I can’t really count the two games he saw in 2017 and 2018 since he won’t remember them). It definitely made a game I’d rather forget more memorable.

Very memorable for a kid. Clemson truly has an electric atmosphere in the stadium that is hard to match. Yall are very fortunate to have that. Saw my first game in 1981 and it was impressive. Attended clemson baseball camps many times as a kid also. I ended up at UNC but I remain impressed with what you have at Clemson. We will never have that kind of football atmosphere in Chapel Hill.

Homecoming. We rolled down 93 past Bowman on the way to Tigerama the Friday night before the game and I thought I had been transported to a different world. From that point forward Clemson was home.
