Not that I think we deserve it or that we could compete with OSU, UGA right now, but just for conversation sake, is there a path that would still put us in the CFP?

Obviously we win out, win the ACC by convincing fashion
OSU beats Michigan
TCU loses 1

Probably hard to overcome an unranked loss, but it is ND and they will likely be ranked 15 or so at seasons end.

Do we get back in?

Funny how a simple QB change can change a team. You go from scraping by to winning in convincing fashion. Still haven't put together that "complete" game we want, but it's coming !!! :)

It's not coming with the personnel we now have playing and coaching.

I mean there is a chance. But it'd take a very specific layout of losses and wins by teams to get us there.

UGA needs to win out.
OSU needs to win out.
Michigan needs to lose possibly 2.
Tennessee needs to lose one more.
LSU needs to lose another game as well (to UGA in SECCG)
Ole Miss needs to lose another
TCU needs to win out.
Oregon needs to lose another.
Real USC needs to lose another as well.

Thats the only surefire way we get back to 4th. But do we deserve it? No.

No, and be careful what you ask for. We were embarrassed last night, punked and #$*@%- slapped. We’re not an elite team, not even good on offense. Hopefully we can win the ACC and go to a good bowl game.
