My friend Adam took a nap one day, woke up and his rib was gone.

I bruised some that time I was tossed out of my boat at 48 mph. They hurt for like 4 or 5 weeks. Probably should have gotten an x-ray.

Wrap up your chest with a wide Ace bandage.

Describe the pain

Because my condition last week that sent me to the ER was all over my ribs on my right side.
I've also broken two ribs before and it hurts like a ####.

Sharp pain on right side of my ribcage.

Dull unless breathing heavily, coughing, laughing, etc. Almost like a pinching sensation when I do any of those things. Just woke up like this today.

That's sounding pretty similar

But doesn't mean that it's the same thing.
Mine started as a dull pain on upper right side and shoulder; it eventually became a sharper pain on my right rib cage that woke me up two days in a row. Breathing heavy and coughing, as you said, made it worse. Are you short of breath?
If it persists over the next day or two, I'd go get it checked. Not saying it has to be an ER visit like mine was but if you have a pulmonary embolism like me, it's no joke.
