"Reed and Mitchell will not sign with agents, thus leaving open the option of returning to Clemson for their senior seasons. The NBA Draft will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., on June 21."

There is literally zero reason for them not to do this.
They get input on what they can improve and get to see where they stand.

I could see them both being all ACC caliber next year and making a run to the final four. They could get drafted. This team is going to be good if they can bring everyone back and maybe get another player for some depth.

Players have 10 days after NBA combine to withdraw & return
Apr 2, 2018, 3:31 PM

provided they do no sign with agent.
2018 NBA combine is June 11 - meaning early entrants have until 5 pm June 11 to withdraw and keep NCAA eligiblity.

Think the combine is May 16-20, but they would have to withdraw by 5 pm on June 11th as you mentioned.

Also IMO the NFL draft process needs to be set up like this as well.

We will be toast next season without them, but they are very likely returning and just seeing where they stand.

Unfortunately, I'm not hearing that "they are very

likely returning." I sure hope they do but from what I recently heard from someone pretty reliable (and I'll leave it at that), they both may be gone. Mitchell's knees are not going to get any better so he may have to make whatever hay he can make (NBA or Europe) while he can. Mitchell's decision will affect Reed as they are very tight.

the fact that they are not signing with an agent is indicative that the draft grade is the determining factor for both, much like Blossomgame, but no NBA scout considers either of them to be a top 100 college player so that more than likely means that neither gets drafted... and won't get that kind of opportunity at the draft combine to raise their stock...
they'll be back...

coaching from NBA coaches and know what skills need to be worked on more, as well as better ways to work on them.
I'm not sure why any player that would have this opportunity would turn it down to be honest.

NBA will give them a look, tell them to work on "this and that" ... and they will use their Senior Season to show the Scouts they have worked on "this and that" and are NBA ready. Basically, the both have to hit the 3 consistently in all situations and pass like that Steve Nash fellow from days of yore.

I don’t expect either to return. With clemson degrees in hand, they’re done with college. Have known of this for a couple months. They’ll likely end up in the G league for a year and then they can have long careers in Europe at the least
