He definitely earned himself a shot to make someone's team. He may have been facing 2nd stringers, but that was a gutsy performance. I think he was highly underrated at USC.

Yeah and he dug deep down and somehow found a way to play well without flipping off the opposing team. After a great two minute drive and 40 yard td as time runs out, you'd think they would have kicked the pat and let him try to win it in overtime.

Five years ago, Carolina totally revamped their strength program. I read a very knowledgeable article as to what type of program they switched to. Before all I get totally flamed, let me say that that this may have a total
coincidence, that's when they started beating us on a regular basis. I think the light bulb may have gone off with our staff, given the huge weight gains with our players this year.

So did Tebow (and on a far higher accomplishment plain ) , however it didn't make him NFL material .
Shaw benefited from his defensive sude exponentially , all the 3 and outs they created gave him the football more than someone without that help , and he performed well when he had the ball.
The kid has a winners mentality for sure , but he is below average when you look at his arm. In the NFL , you gotta be able to sling it and Shaw is like Tebow in that sense ...not up to snuff.
