Who are the playmakers at receiver?

Right now we’re counting on Antonio Williams, a smaller framed slot receiver, to be our go-to guy. Everyone else is unproven
Two really good running backs, a really good slot receiver, and a whole lot of unproven guys around them.
If Grisham can’t win some of these big recruiting battles at receiver, his seat should be heating up. None of the receivers have gotten better since they’ve been here and the quality has been worse over the past 2 years.

Grisham’s seat should be warm now. The state of our WRs now compared to what they were a few years ago is alarming.

Noble Johnson got open a couple of times yesterday and flashed on one screen play. He may make some solid contributions.

Yep, hopefully Noble can step up and be a weapon.

I can’t remember a recent time we were so thin at WR. We need a Tee Higgins type playmaker.

Our hope for this year is that Beau and Adam get fully healthy and play to potential. That with A. Williams and Cole Turner along with more use of the TEs could be successful. Its a thin line though.. any of these things dont happen, then you still have some gaps in the passing game.

He shouldn’t have been hired as our WR coach to begin with.***

So is it the coach, the players or both. Grisham can’t throw to them or catch for them.

Looked like a solid group of 5'11"" play makers that run 4.9 40s yesterday. Felt as if I was watching Newberry College vs Presbyterian. But hey, it was a scrimmage. Be glad when the daddy ball comes to an end.

Along with A Williams and C Turner
Specter and Steallato - love ‘em because they are tigers but not everyone is starter material

Williams is vastly overrated in my opinion. I’ll never forget his fumble that cost us the game against SCAR last season.

Well, he's not big, not particularly fast, and has decent (not great) hands. He's the tallest midget in the room at this point. I don't think he cost us the game last year. The offense sputtered mightily the entire second half. The chance for a win went down the tubes when we left the starting QB in for about a quarter and a half too long IMO. Yes, the fumble was the final nail in the coffin.

He just stood out on our team last year because we didn’t have any other receivers nearly as good.

As I said. This is idiotic. You think you can judge whether he is starter material based on 20 snaps against SC State as a true freshman in the early weeks of the season playing with the backups?

Just admit you don't have a clue what you're talking about why don't you? Stellato was a very highly recruited 4 star, one that should theoretically be the fastest person on the team (4.4 laser time). But he's only played about 20 snaps his entire career (and they were early as a freshman against South Caroline State) because he's been injured the whole time. You have 0 idea how good he'll be, if he ever gets healthy.

Before last season's injury, AR was the talk of summer camp with CK2 throwing to him. Hoping Randall will full recover, but I still do not understand why so many Tiger skill players appear to be chronically injured.

If this is still a question after the first couple weeks in Sept, then it's a cause for concern. I'll wait to see how Colllins and Randall are when they comeback. Those 2 are the primary outside threats that should take some of the focus off Williams. Potential is there, the health is the only issue.
