It’s shocked me how many people don’t want

to get vaccinated. For me after I’ve been vaccinated it has almost completely liberated me. I don’t get why other people don’t want that feeling.
The only excuse that makes sense to me is they want to see how the people that were vaccinated earlier are in the future. Well, we already know that the phase 3 vaccine recipients are doing just fine and of course they were all so the phase 1 and 3 vaccine recipients that also aren’t growing two heads at this point.

we are on the fence, family physician said ask the CDC, the CDC website says ask your family physician
i just dont know why i should take an experimental vaccine when i have over a 98% chance of survival, heck some folks think that you can catch the virus and not have any symptoms lol
we may take it this summer IF our doctor says dew it

Ya but we don’t know the long term effects.

I’m gonna wait 20 years and see how everyone’s doing, then decide if I’m going to get one or not.

not the worst plan, keep your hands clean, say no to drugs, hands on the wheel during a traffic stop, take your vaccine in year 20

the virus has gotten me out of at least 10 worthless work meetings, saved me extra money that used to be spent at restaurants, lost weight
and my gubmint keeps printing money and mailing it to me

I know it’s crazy right? The gubmint keeps packing my savings account. You mentioned the restaurants. I’ve been packing my lunch every day since the virus hit. Saving money is nice but I really enjoy quiet lunches rather than a restaurant.

No evidential reason not to. But as I said yesterday, if I

was 35, probably even 45, I might not, simply because, all things being equal, I would want an FDA approved vaccine. Can't forget Thalidomide, a drug everyone banged on the FDA for not jumping on board with like "everybody in Europe". Euros found out the hard way, whilst our wimmens and babies stayed safe. FDA standards are there for a reason, and at <50 or so the risk from covid wouldn't, for me, justify a non approved vaccine.
Did I take it? Dang straight, soon as I could.

I agree. You take experimental, fast-tracked stuff, you can sometimes get funny long-term results.
The problem is, my wife and I already had COVID once...and it wasn't fun. I can assure you, you can definitely get not-so-funny, debilitating, long-term results off COVID too, and I wasn't at eager to see what one of those newer, nastier strains might look like. So we decided the vax was worth the risk.
Guess we'll know in a few months if it was the right call or not.

Yep - I hear folks say, "If I get COVID my chances of dying

are only (insert low percentage here)"
But - I'm like you - I had COVID and I don't want it again! Very sick for 2+ weeks and it has affected my stamina (cycling) noticeably even though I "recovered" over 2 months ago.

Of “we’re in big trouble and here’s who to blame” from the mass media, but
According to the CDC: 50% of people over 18 have had at least one shot already. Over 80% of people 65 and over have had at least one shot.
https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#vaccinationsCOVID Data Tracker CDC’s home for COVID-19 data. Visualizations, graphs, and data in one easy-to-use website.
According to this site, we have trended an increase in daily number of doses given since we started a vaccine program, up to well over 2 million doses a day...far above any other country.
https://ourworldindata.org/covid-vaccinations
The most at-risk are overwhelmingly adopting the vaccine and we add a couple million new vaccinated people every day. We do not have an “anti-vaccine” issue. Some people won’t get it because they have health concerns, some people won’t get because they believe it’s not that big a deal, some won’t get it because they think the Illuminati will use it to control our brains or harvest our organs. Whatever. We are fine. Better than fine, actually. I would argue no country in the world has done a better job of vaccinating their citizens.

and 95% certain i will not take it. 100% certain that if I do it will be because I have watched the long term side effects over the next 12-16 months. I am being extra careful because I only have one kidney as well.

Everybody's gotta make the right decision for them, and weigh the risks in the boat they themselves happen to be in.
In your boat, I might well make the same call.
