Playing against the #4 team in the nation, and led by a 6th year supposedly legitimate Heisman contending QB, Clemson’s D faced FSU 7 times when FSU needed less than a TD to take the lead.
FSU was 0 for 7.
Some of you need to get your hearts, your minds, and your football meters checked. This place is legitimately embarrassing.

In OT, FSUs skill finally hit a play.
Offensive execution cost us the game.

It should be credited to injury. Our best DB was hurt in the final defensive play of regulation for us. They successfully attacked his back up in ot. No excuse great plan by them.

Barring the last drive of the first half, I thought the defense played well.
However, that last drive was SO BAD that it kind of stands out.
I think the truth is no matter who we brought in we would take a step back because I think Venables was legit the best DC in the country. It seems to me that a lot of the critique of Wes is caught up in the 'hiring from within' that has coincided with a downturn in the program. A lot of that was offense related but it also needs to be said that with a TON of talent our defense hasn't been as dominant as it seems like it should be under Wes. They are good to really good... not dominant like they were under BV.

Dude… take your WORTHLESS STATS somewhere else. The ONLY stat that matters in football and in life is wins and losses…. That’s all…. We LOST a game yesterday in which we should have won by 10 points. What stat are you going to give us next? We were 3 for 3 on 3rd down when Kathleen Swinney went to the ladies room? Give me a break..
