Of the spoiled bandwagon front runner fans that jumped on in about 2015. And I hope they bust their ### when they fall off. Good riddance

So, you are happy with a 3-5 season and likely a 4-8 season with the toilet bowl.

Responses like this are just pure buffoonery. No, no one is happy with this season. I don't know anyone who is happy and I haven't seen anyone post that is happy about this season.
Everyone wants answers from Dabo or they want people fired. Guess what champ? He's not doing anything with the staff until after the season is over. He isn't going to call out by name which coaches are getting blasted behind the scenes.
Anyone trying to give Dabo grace is doing so because he is a good man who pushed Clemson to heights no one on here ever imagined. They and I are willing to give the man a lot of rope to turn it around.
Yes, the program has seen gradual decline the last few years but not enough for him to see it. He sure as heck sees it now. Chalk up this season as a loss, enjoy your tailgate with friends and family or do something else that doesn't make you look like a sniveling 12 year old.
He'll either fix things over the next few years and we're back in the money or he will be gone. It sure as #### isn't happening this year so put the crack pipe down.

below is the 4yr MA win% for each year (include the 4yr b/c that encompass the variables of different classes). As you can see the trend drops substantially each year starting in 2021. You could do the exact same trend with point differential and you'd see a very similar trend.
2018: 93% 2019: 93% 2020: 91% 2021: 88% 2022: 83% 2023: 77% 2024: 74% 2025: 64% (in progress)

it was mostly a fabrication of pumpers that needed an excuse to deny the legitimacy of dumper criticisms. Now that the proverbial crap has hit the fan, and the fulfilled negative prognostications have come true, instead of admitting THAT, they're doubling down on the fake "bandwagon fan" narrative by hoping these struggles will finish them off. But it was always a ruse.

but it's sort of a reality that has emerged. It may be an oversimplification, but it's true as far as it goes, even still. Would that things were more nuanced, but people get in the way of that.

they're just labels, and they're broadly accurate. I'm for the nuanced stuff, too, but you can lead a horse to water but you can't force him to drink. The labels are also useful shorthand in many cases.

Yeah anyone who thinks we deserve more than 5 wins in a season is no true fan! Definitely not ALL IN!
It’s hard to win more than 2 conference games in the worst P4 conference, especially with our limited resources and low coaching salaries. Bye bye spoiled bandwagon fans!!***

I mentioned in another thread that I hope "new money" fans that found Clemson around 2013 are jumping off the bandwagon.
Maybe some of us will get to move into better seats once they drop IPTAY & they all of a sudden become Indiana fans because they watched Hoosiers on TBS when they were a kid

I would like to see each poster post how many years they been in Iptay and at what level. I bet most of these negative poster don’t give a dime……. I’ve been a member 25 years at $7000. Give the man the opportunity to fix the problem. Every game cost me $1600……. I live through all the bad times

Yet, CDS has admitted blame lies with him and the issues are "coaching" and "recruiting."
Why focus on any of the fans when they have zero to do with that????????? Issues don't lie with fans, nor with administration, nor with some rival who has bamboozled us, nor with the internet/Tigernet, etc, etc..... Issues, all the issues, lie from within and can only be fixed from within.
Clemson has great fans. Pressure would be multitudes higher at peer schools like Bama, OSU, LSU, UF, etc....

The worst thing a program can do is try and grow their fanbase during an upswing.
The current state of our program is the time in which you grow your fanbase. Most 13 or 14 yr olds are attracted to 3-5 teams. Not National Championship contenders.
This is so obvious im surprised the OP didn’t mention it

I’ve been a fan since the 80s. I haven’t seen it all but I went to all the games during the west years and Bowden years and now. I want Clemson to stay a top 13 all time wins type of program. Let’s keep winning. Let’s see what happens this year and the offseason.

was the hardcore fans that supported us, win or lose. Farmers, lintheads, common folk, hippies like me in the 70s. I don't see that going forward. They'll still sell out the stadium of course, but it's bigwigs and corporate guys who'll bail in a heartbeat.

Why? I never understood this reasoning.

I welcome bandwagon fans. I welcome anyone who wants to join the Clemson family for whatever reason. I do, however, have a special reverence for fans like me who have stuck with the Tigers nearly 50 years thru thick & thin. And i have tremendous respect for the alumni. But if someone wants to join the party, the more the marrier i say. And if you love the atmosphere of 82,000 fans when the Tigers run down the hill, we'll keep in mind about 20,000 of those are bandwagon fans and another 20,000 are longtime suffering disgruntled fans who get upset at losses. So, if you prefer 42,000 fans as opposed to 82,000 fans, I guess I can understand that. But for me, I'll keep the 82,000 fans.

Umm because they are fairweather fans, front runners, and lack conviction.
If you dont stick with it through the tough times, I discount your fandom/loyalty during the good times.
