I would love to see a coordinator who runs an up tempo spread. In a dream scenario Denson would be the next Lamar Jackson. Taking a portal qb and many other possible portal starters would create a lot of off-season excitement. Which the program desperately needs at the moment.

There are roughly 1349 factors which influence a coach’s success and you believe this one factor is the reason for their success? FWIW neither had a quality QB on their roster so they had no choice. At UVA, TE had to convince their supporters to give NIL money so he could grab Morris out of the portal.

I was referring that Clemson should take a portal qb in '26. Not replacing Cade with one for this season.

However, there are plenty of other positions we needed starters and valuable depth. CK2 is not a bad QB, he just isn't DW4 or TLaw. He's got loads of talent, but he doesn't always make the best decision. It looks like the game's just never quite slowed down for him. Attrition has hurt our roster in the middle and bottom the most.

Chandler Morris has made a world of difference for the Hoos, (but I actually think UVA will get run out of the stadium if they make the playoffs).
As for OU, they are winning off of grit and defense. Mateer is a mediocre QB, who can make some plays when needed but nothing special. Cade is a little bit better than Mateer is.

Compare the record of all three Head Coaches. Dabo, Tony and Brent. BV and TE came into this season on a pretty warm seat. After week 12 I am sure Botha seats have cooled.
But Dabo has a more successful record over the past 5 years than either BV or TE.
The TP only works if the player you want, wants you and the other factor is can a team afford that player.
As a Head Coach you make commitments to recruits so using the TP is a roll of the dice as much as recruiting HS players. In today’s world of play for pay college football has created such chaos that picking winners and losers every week is like flipping a coin.
It’s all about the money. Clemson Fans have very high expectations in the new era of NIL, Revenue Sharing and the TP. But are Clemson IPTAY members, Alumni and fans willing to put up the 💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰 needed to keep up with the Elite ???
Next season may answer that question ???
We are now in a sports environment of greed, corruption and uncertainty. Clemson fans should be grateful for the years of Elite Football Dabo, his staff and the players gave the fans before the play for pay era 🐅🐅🐅

Cade has not dropped numerous catchable passes all season. With Cade and CV as our QB’s why would we need a QB from the TP.
Would getting a QB from the TP plug up some of the holes in our secondary ??? Would the QB from the TP block for himself or catch his own passes ???
This has been a tough year of adversity, injuries and poor officiating. It’s how Clemson as whole handles this year and how much support is given by the fans. It’s how the Clemson Family responds in the future that I believe will determine it’s success 🐅🐅🐅

S, LB, OL all more important portal needs than QB this year. We have some good potential QB recruits and decent players on the roster. QB may or may not be a portal needs than next year. DB, LB, OL 100% is.

I very highly doubt it, too. Vizzina has stayed and played behind Cade so to Dabo that has starting qb all over it. Not if he’s capable but he has stayed ……
