Left Tuesday to do camping with grandson, learnt he talks in his sleep ALOT. Fished, hiked, got ate up by chiggers.
Came home late Thursday, so he could do Good Friday/Easter with his mom and sis.

So I worked Friday, which was quiet.

Saturday did some grocery shopping, cleaned up camper, relaxed.

Sunday had a good breakfast, loaded up a cooler and headed out for a ride. Picnic for lunch. Back home to drink beer.

8/10 cause of chiggers, but would do again.

Started early.....

Thursday-Two rounds of golf. Grilled steak. Watched 13 Reasons Why

Friday-Coffee. Laundry. One round of golf. Date at Local Cue. She reminded me to much of my annoying aunt. Wud not dew.

Saturday-Hendersonville, NC to see mom's side of fam for Easter. Then drove Gma all the way back to Clemson. Went to friend's house for party. Drank bourbon.

Sunday-Went to church for first time of 2017. Its what I expected. Awkward and everyone looks like they've been sinning as much as me. Glad I don't go except twice a year for family. Went to Grandparent's for Easter lunch. Two plates and a few brownies. Took a nap. Went home to watch some more 13 Reasons Why. I'm on the last episode for tonight. Highly recommended show.

10/10 for lots of golf, good food, and long weekend.

Go Tigers tonight on ESPNU!

Friday - RHCP at Philips Arena. parentsof- watched kidsof- so free babysitting win! The opening acts were interesting. Jack Irons opened (original RHCP drummer). It was him, his drum kit and some pre-recorded synthesizer music. Pretty sure after witnessing that set that he's done a lot of drugs during his career. Second act was Baby Metal out of Japan. Metal instrumentation with all female J-pop vocals. And somehow they made it work. Concert ran until midnight, didn't get home until 1:30 AM. Shades of Roger Murtaugh ran through my head as we got home.

Saturday - slight sleep in. Hung out with parentsof- until lunch when they headed back home. Afternoon was grocery store and final prep for Easter.

Sunday - Up to get to church early since it was going to be slammed with twice-per-years. Stopped and got a donut as an Easter treat after Mass. Sonof- spent most of the day acting the fool, but otherwise the rest of the day was uneventful. Easter dinner was lamb, potato casserole and green beans almondine. Delicious.

Excellent

Apr 17, 2017, 9:10 AM

Friday woke up early because lady of ST had work and isn't the quietest person at getting ready. But I capitalized by having a cup of coffee and heading to the gym. Then I got my oil changed and read my book for a bit because it was nice and quiet and I don't get a ton of reading time. Lady of ST left work at lunch and we headed downtown to the Lazy Goat for lunch. I had a banging Salmon salad and she had the shrimp nabobs which were excellent. It was good fun sitting above the swamp rabbit in falls park watching the UDPs walking around. The rest of the afternoon we just kind of goofed off until church and dinner with her parents at the Poinsett Club.

Saturday up early and over to in laws house to help get stuff ready for a party we were cohosting that night. Then I bailed and took my oberons and my YETI Hopper 20 and went and played volleyball for 4-5 hours. Made it home and showered and was ready to go to the party before lady of ST. Hung out at the party with lots of people I didn't know (thank goodness for beer) and then went home and went to bed.

Yesterday up early and to church then to in laws again to get ready for easter dinner. My parents and a few of the inlaws friends all came over for easter dinner. We ate way too much and then I fell asleep on the couch watching the NBA playoffs. But then things got exciting and we went to Willy Taco for dinner where I got even more full. I then felt sick as I was trying to go to sleep, but did not vom. Had a violent poo here at the office this morning though.

8/10 could have done with a little more relaxing and a little less entertaining, but overall pretty enjoyable.

ROH

THAT 90 DEGREE FLORIDA WEATHER THOUGH.

Apr 17, 2017, 9:16 AM

Wednesday, got up early and drank coffee, then granned a shower and got everything ready to head out to Florida. Left RH just before 10 and for the most part, had a long but fairly enjoyable cruise down to Brooksville, Florida. Took I-10 across the top of the state through the Osceola National Forest, which we’d never done before. Lots of nothing there, which is probably why the Florida State Prison is in Raiford, somewhere out in the middle of all that pine and scrub land. Saw a very large bear crossing the road about 50 yards in front of me, which was a cool sight to see. Got to Brooksville around 7:00 where we were staying with good friends. Had dinner, drank beers, and caught up until time to crash.

Thursday, woke up and hung out drinking coffee and ate some breakfast, then struck out for St. Petersburg. Cruised around for a while and then went to the Salvador Dali museum, which was the impetus for the trip, because of the Frida Kahlo exhibit, one of Mrs. Tig’s favorite artists. For me, art is Elvis on velvet, dogs playing poker, and album covers, but both the Frida Kahlo and the Salvador Dali exhibits were excellent. Lots of history wrapped up in the exhibits, which I can dig. Finished up right at 5:00, which made crossing the bridge back into Tampa a slow crawl and killed any hope of stopping at a Tampa Brewery. Got back to Brooksville just before 7 and met up with our hosts to go eat seafood at the Bayport Inn. Pretty cool little place, ate out on the deck overlooking the marsh. Seafood was plenty good, but not really what I’d call amazing. Beer selection was pedestrian. Left there and went to the new brewery that just opened there called Marker 48. They had some decent beers, but nothing special. Got home around 11:30 and crashed.

Friday, got up and Mrs. Tig learned to use the plasma cutter and made a neat little table top grill out of an empty gas canister. She did that all morning, so I jumped in the car and rode around Brooksville. This is SERIOUS Florida cracker country…all horse farms and cattle ranches. Wireless phone and internet access is really spotty there, it’s the very definition of rural. Rode around town, stopped a some pretty cool little places and chatted up the locals. Met Mrs. Tig and our friends at the Florida Cracker Kitchen for late lunch, which was fan-freaking-tastic food. After we ate, the Mrs. And I struck out for the commercial stretch on the other side of Weeki Wachee to go to the Rural King, which is one of the most badass stores ever. It’s like a Tractor Supply on steroids. We need one of those here. Wandered around for a couple of hours, got nephew a birthday present, back towards Brooksville where we stopped to look at some campers, then on to the house. Our friends have a daughter that is getting married soon, so we went to a big cookout with her fiancée’s family since he was back from Guam on leave from the Air Force. Totally Florida cracker folks, but the nicest and most welcoming group of folks you’ll ever meet. Hung out until around 11, then home to crash.

Saturday, got up and hung out for a little bit over coffee, left just before 11. Made one last stop to try and find beers to bring back, but every place I stopped around the area was worse than any grocery store in Rock Hill by leaps and bounds. Should have stopped in Tampa on the way to the museum, but live and learn. Finally got on I-95 which was like the start of a NASCAR race…cars in a thick pack and all going 85 miles an hour. Pretty intense driving in that mess. Came to a complete halt on the SC side of Savannah. Crawled all the way to Hardeeville. Finally decided to get off and trek through the swamps and just pick our way home and back roads. Made a slight error and ended up back on I-95, had to get off again at Coosewatchie and hit 278 where we rode for a long time with swamp on both sides of the road through Grays, to Varnville, caught 601 through Crocketville, Erhardt, Bamberg, Edisto, Orangeburg and then back on to I-26 headed to Columbia. Finally made it home just after 9:00. Flopped in the Big Chair with a bourbon, and then to bed.

Sunday, big family gathering and Easter meal at the Mom-in-law’s, had a good time and hung out until around 5. Took Mrs. Tig and the pup home, then went to grocery store. Came home and did laundry, gave pup a bath, paid some bills, put away all the travel gear, sat down to watch Into The Badlands, then bed.

The weekend was a definite 11 out of 10 Yelp Stars, and that with after a six point deduction for I-95 insanity. Will do again, but maybe with some adjustments to the route.

Apr 17, 2017, 9:57 AM

The friends that we stayed with build custom ornate metal fences and do metal art as well. The list of people that they have done work for is nothing short of amazing...pro athletes, musicians, captains of industry, royalty, etc. Their personal projects are also pretty danged impressive, rat-rodding a '39 Dodge pickup truck and building an all-aluminum teardrop camper among them.

I think I'm going to get them to do a life-size metal cutout of Hunter Renfrow's Championship winning catch for the yard.

Got Good Friddy off. Went to zoo with wife and kidz. Got an estimate on replacing gutter guards that were destroyed by hail damage a few weeks ago. It's gonna cost a lot but 0% financing for 18 months on Home Depot card so I don't have to spend my tax refund Str8 Ca$h homie. I feel UDP, but don't want to spend my London trip money on gutter guards.

Sattidy - Wife worked so I had the kids to myself all day. Drank one of my KBS's. Let wife take a sip and she freaked out "Gersh dats awful". "Did you mix whiskey in with that?" I said no, but then remembered it's aged in whiskey barrels so said kinda.

Sundy - Church den over to my family's for our annual Easter Egg hunt. Did not win but still had fun.

Overall 9.5/10 Wooddew Gainz.
