Brad Brownell

I did confidently mention, back in the early fall, that the Tigers would surprise a lot of people in ACC basketball this year. Coach Brownell and his staff have done an amazing job in a relatively short amount of time. The Tigers should be a shoo-in for post season play, but the icing on the cake would be to win the ACC tourney. Congratulations to Coach Brownell, his fine staff, and the entire mens' Tiger roundball program! I really hope that all Clemson fans realize that they have one of the finest teachers of the game in the entire nation.

I'm certainly not a Martin fan. However Staley, like Brownell, is the best coach on her respective campus!

I am really excited about the outstanding job Brad Brownell has done in just a few short years at Clemson. It's got to be a long shot, but I would love to see him get to a Final Four in the next couple of years!

He's done a fine job.
We learned to close out the close games we lost last year.
Still a NIT birth this year does not prove or disprove him. We went to 4 straight NCAAT not too long along. hopefully next year will be another one.
Not to be a debbie downer but the ACC is a top 4 heavy conf and with duke and cuse having some major issues. Still its been a good season and NIT is fine by me. Its a stepping stone and after two years of crap we are back trending up. He just has to continue it to stick around.

By the way, can you please post your preseason prognostication that the Tigers would surprise a lot of people?

Shane, I would say that a "dude has issues" when he has to be filled with hate in order to feel good about himself. I don't have that problem. Do you? Please think carefully before you answer. Is it so difficult to believe that I can like both Clemson and SC? Maybe I have degrees from both schools, or maybe I've had relatives or close friends who played at both schools? As for my preseason prognostication, it's a matter of record, so being a bright boy, I'm sure that you can find it.

It's funny isn't it? A whole lot of folks on here love to "shake their heads", but I notice it's when they really don't have much of an intelligent answer to a question, or a factual rebuttal to a post. Worst of all, they often use it as a show of disdain or hatred toward someone that they might like to agree with on an issue, but can't because of their blind hatred.

Are you still mad about losing that argument? I remember you making similar juvenile accusations several months back in the midst of losing some argument. You got frustrated and threw a tantrum. I think that was when we talked about the word "transference", right? I'm pretty sure that was you.

now that i've answered you, feel free to continue your juvenile attacks on motor city. always entertaining watching you of so many scoks attack someone else for having multiple users. really, it's rich.

and even gain a sense of self-worth from them, yeah, that speaks volumes about your juvenile mentality. What's really weird though is that whenever you get mad you sling nonsense at others which is actually present within yourself. That's weird for sure.
Sorry you lost that argument man. If throwing a childish tantrum and calling me stanley makes you feel better, then you have it bud.

deferred to the second half? I could have sworn I saw that stat somewhere. Nobody in their right mind chooses to kick when you have the selection, otherwise you'll end up kicking to start both halves. That's essentially giving up a possession. So in reality, deferring is the same as electing to have your defense to go out first.

What facade would that be? Let's see, maybe that I actually like the Tigers and Gamecocks? So are you the only one that doesn't know that? That is also a matter of public record. Would you think me more normal, to your way of thinking, if I were a Tiger fan who hated all Gamecocks and their fans with a passion, or maybe a Gamecock fan who hated all Tigers and their fans. See, I don't have to hate anyone to have fun and enjoy the rivalry. It's not like anyone is curing cancer, feeding the homeless, or securing world peace when these two teams play, is it?

Facade (n): a false appearance or way of behaving that hides what someone is.
Specifically, the action taken by a lunatic coot with 27 faux handles for use on his rival's website. Gains meaning in life through trolling, and even goes as far as to reply to himself within threads.
Hope that helps.

Good post Motor City Bengal. I love my Tigers! I enjoy everything about Clemson! Pulling for the Tigers is something I enjoy and it's fun! I think the word "like" is too strong in describing my feeling towards the Gamecocks but I don't hate everything associated with garnet and black. There's so much more to life and the big picture. I just don't see the whole hating your rival to the point of obsession?
I have lots of Gamecock friends who I truly care about. I actually think Willy Brice isn't all that bad of a stadium and Spurrier keeps things interesting. He's made it a rivalry for the first time ever and that's a good thing. It's pushing us to work harder and become better! Got to be honest though, when this streak ends...it's going to feel good, dang good! (Almost turning over cars and setting things on fire good - almost)
I have no problem with you liking both teams. I appreciate your honesty. I do think the coot trolls are a little slimy...what a waste of time and energy! Life's short, enjoy each day and "Go Tigers"!

Thanks, AikenTiger1114, I really do want both schools to do well in everything, because any of their successes brings positive attention to our state. I think these boards are far more interesting and well done than FGF, etc. That is probably one of the reasons (not the only one, of course) so many SC fans do come here. I admit that I lean toward SC in football when they play each other, but I do want Dabo and the Tigers to always win every game but that one. This spring, nothing would make me happier than Brownell winning the ACC tournament, or Jack and the boys getting to Omaha. I know, that's two long shots, but hey, we can dream, can't we? I guess I always have a win/win situation in this rivalry, huh? I don't ever have a problem saying "Go Tigers" except maybe Thanksgiving weekend, LOL!
