came out great, used it more than I ever thought, really a handy smaller size. Re-sizzling some riced cauliflower & spinach tonight.
I think of your sister every time I get it out.

it. I just did the basic HD EasyOff oven cleaner/vinegar wash/reseason routine. And the inside was freshly oiled for that pic, but that shows the smooth inside finish. I'll continue to harp on the value of old cast iron, esp vs new trendy, high dollar ones. Sure, an old collectible is more expensive than a new Lodge or china pan, but will last way longer than any non-stick pan. I like cooking in a pan that is older than me, and will still be great when I'm gone. Old cast iron is thinner and lighter than most, and has a smooth finish. One I use all the time was made in Waynesboro, Va, before I was born, and my house is as far as it's been from it's manufacture. "Large logo" Griswold like this one is pricier than some, but not super rare.
PapaG and I talked about this pan his sister gave him w/some others, before her downward decline. It's great to put this pan back to work in great shape and remember her, even though we never met. When did a non-stick fry pan ever do that.

sister never used it and my mom moved to a retirement home 20 or so years ago.
And it looked it also. This really looks so much better than what I sent you!
