Who stops a "bad guy with a gun"?

This chart is intended to show that very few bad guys are stopped by bystanders with a gun. The authors conclude that this proves we shouldn't have more armed bystanders.

To me, this shows that 58% of active shooting events end *before* the police show up; therefore, we need the ability to protect ourselves instead of relying solely on the police who are likely to be too late.

What do you think?

If the one time it happens saves the life of someone you love; the good guy with a gun was worth it.

This chart also supports why these cowards walk into gun free zones, and not palmetto armory.

I view taking guns away from law abiding citizens as less gun control. They are vetted, trained and registered; you can't get any more "controlled" than that.

numbers. Maybe the 100+ times the shooter "left the scene" before police arrived was because he realized: "crap, these folks have guns too!"
