We need to start thinking "outside the box" for recruiting

Basketball is big in Europe, Argentina, Australia ...
Why don't we take field trips there and grab some players ?
I know Spain is huge, and they have a very good system, so many of the players don't even bother with the College rout ... but what about Germany?, Slovakia?,
here is a list where Basketball is popular (USA top of course)
USA Argentina Croatia Serbia Lithuania Italy Spain China Greece Russia
I know those Chinese are communists and the Russians are like Communists who now like Capitalism, but ANYTHING to help this program ....
"Top Tier" talent in the USA just don't want to play for Clemson for some reason

We need to recruit better guards the game has changed. Our guard play is atrocious.

In Europe kids join sport clubs when they are young. Some of them, depending on the level they play at, get paid and then wouldn't be NCAA eligible. Bobo sat out a couple of games to start his career as "suspension" for it.

They can't all go to Duke, UNC or Syracuse. We need to recruit nationally. If we don't have enough staff to do so hire them !

I agree we need to expand our recruiting base. With the future facility upgrades, would love a more uptempo game. Gimmicky or not you have to adapt and change to help secure recruits.

Good point. Maryland has had some success going overseas for big men lately at least.

They hired a coach who wins. I don't want Frank Martin in our program, but he wins.

Somebody needs to bring Tates Locke in for some consulting. Ole Tates might have cut a few corners, and I know B.C. is long gone, but he put the best team I have ever seen on the floor at Clemson. And about got Moses Malone.

I would show 'em pics of the pretty womens ... the warm climes ... if we get them to visit ... take them to a Football Game, take them to Greenville, ask the Frats to show them a good time ... HOWEVER, they will find it VERY strange that the drinking age here is 21 .... then again, would ask Frats for help
