animals native to the Everglades...deer, rabbits, possums, raccoons, foxes, bobcats, are disappearing.

They say there are over 100,000 pythons in the Everglades now. They have these organized python hunts and you read that they only catch a few at at time because they're impossible to find.

I think other than mercury levels, they can be eaten. Oh well. Read somewhere their mercury levels are 10 times higher than Florida alligators and way higher than fish.

Found more info.....
Pythons in FL have 3.5 parts per million of mercury, whereas the highest in fish (that you can't eat) are around 1.
