Wow, just wow! Read an article today about Patrick Sapp.

He was heavily recruited by a lot of schools. His final three were Clemson, FSU, and Syracuse. He told the Clemson people he would commit if they offered his good friend (who was hardly recruited by anyone) a scholarship. We made the offer and got both. His friend was Brian Dawkins!

This is a great story and it astounds me how lightly recruited Dawkins was. I know he developed and Clemson and in the NFL but still

Year after year we see a lot of players that go into the NFL who weren't even offered a D-1 scholarship , or who ended up at UNLV because their hometown Texas Longhorns didn't think they were worthy .
It shows how grit and determination mean as much as anything in this life , and it also shows that a lot of " scouts " and coaches out there are underperforming at their designated position .

As I recall...and I think I'm correct...getting Patrick Sapp and Dexter McLeon was the reason we didn't get Tommy Frazier, who went to Nebraska instead.
He did pretty well at QB. Sapp and McLeon both ended up on D.

good player. I remember Ken Hatfield's last game he started
Dexter and installed option. We
beat chickens 16 to 13 in Cola.

Don't judge a person because they drop out of college...
