The argument is ridiculous.

Alabama has 3-4 players on their offensive line that could play on an NFL roster. The problem is that their O-line is so good it makes AJ McCarron look like a Heisman hopeful, thus making it look like they have a stellar running game and amazing playmakers on the edges. Alabama has a great offensive line and a great defense, there are plenty of future NFL players on those fronts, but if Alabama played the Giants Tuck, Umenyiora, and JPP would kill that offensive line and McCarron would spend the whole day on his back. There's talent on the team, but not a whole roster of NFL talent.

look like they have a stellar running game? They have very, very good rb's. They also have tremendous talent on the edges.

But the offensive line is the driving force behind that. They have 3 future first rounders on the line which gives the running backs huge holes to run through and McCarron all the time in the world to throw. They're Alabama, of course they have talent, but there are teams out there with much better running backs and much better receivers to be honest.

receivers maybe but I dont know that I'd trade their RB's for another teams...the freshman yeldon is awesome then lacy, fowler(hurt), and hart(hurt).
I think I'd take Yeldon over Gurley if given the option IMHO.

btw I'm not saying that their OL isnt the driving force. They have 5 yes all 5 are potential NFL first rounders on the OL. Its crazy. However, I would possibly take their RB's over anyone elses especially Yeldon.

I can see where you're coming from. Their backfield as a unit is probably second to none but as individual runners we may never know because they are used as a group.

Spurrier is just trying to get the media off the truth!

About how classless it was to steal the show being a butt a couple of days after Marcus had the biggest trial of his life. At his birthday party of all things. He knows he was being ridiculous, he was just trying to create a storm to take that light off him, He's hoping to save some face with recruits who have class.
It's too late Steve your true colors already came out!
It kills him that Dabo is a man with principles who cares about the recruits whether they chose Clemson or not.
Go Tigers!

He's no different than Lou.

He's selling the #### fan base that several of those SEC teams are pro caliber and that's the reason they can't compete with them.
Lou did it with these simple minded folks during his 1-21 streak. He convinced them that while they were bottom feeders in the SEC, they would have won any other conference during that time.
Now the old ball coach is trying to make them proud of 5th place in the conference because the other teams can compete on a pro level. They'll lap up. they want so hard to believe they really matter, they'll believe what ever their leader feeds them.
Sure the national media will laugh about this, but #### Nation will buy it hook line and sinker.

take the attention off of his sophomoric handling of Lattimore's birthday party. Just like last year, when he was landblasted for yanking scholarships, he came out the," I think players should be paid" statement. He does this over and over, and the incompetent writers fall for it. He takes the heat off of what they should be writing about.
