I don't want to give anybody any ideas on how they could get the manpower. I guess they think they can trick a few people in to getting the permit.

Hard to believe this is motivated by income for the city....

my guess is that there are a lot of folks that have complained about neighbors allowing parking for whatever reason.
I suspect this is more of a response to some "squeaky wheels" than it is about making money off the parking permits.

pay $100 for the permit. I imagine they are looking for away to then tax what they owner brings in. Lastly they will probably fine the hell out of somebody that ends up with too much trash.

How is a tax going to relieve those complaining?

The tax increase will be reflected in the parking fees. You know how tax works. That's just another way for The City to tax ball games. We Clemson losing they wouldn't be able to pull this chit.

Somebody has been eying it as a source of revenue for awhile and is trying to pull a fast one. Clemson's got some greed going on. Anyone who lives that close to the stadium knows what that entails on gameday

Some dude in his mid/late 30's who worked night shift toured the apartment complex I lived in during the summer and found it to be a nice, quiet little place. He ended up buying it and being in for a total shock once the students moved back in. He called the cops on us the first Friday night we had a party, and it went downhill from there.

cordon off most of the neighborhoods between College Ave and Hwy 93 for several years. Seems reasonable to seek some compensation for that. Of course, one might argue they should get the compensation from the streets they're "protecting". Others would counter that it is the game traffic (and parking) creating the need.
