Big difference in game? Our offensive playbook.

Oct 18, 2013, 10:10 AM

Winston's playbook has to be much more vanilla based on his experience.

That will allow Venables to make adjustments around the second quarter and take control.

So I can see FSU getting out to a lead, but not for long.

After that, it will be close until the fourth quarter. Then I can see the spotlight and the vanilla playbook getting to Winston a little and FSU turning it over a few times. We will take control at that point and put them away.

I can see this game going much like the UGA game in terms of who has the lead. But I think it will be lower scoring.

Winston plays will be run around and throw the ball at any arrowhead down field. That's all I have seen him do yet.

Agree I think we need to get to him quick and make him think twice about running around. The crowd should help early and give BV time to scheme around their offense. Force them to throw the ball and let the offense take control as the game goes on.

Wouldn't surprise me if the Noles have been real vanilla

and hiding a lot of stuff since they have yet to play anybody. Doubt they have to vanilla it down for Winston he has been there for 2 years, but we all know The Chad will have a couple new things up his sleeve just for this game.

With an extra week to prepare

FSU will probably have a few new wrinkles in the first half. By halftime Venables will have made enough adjustments to neutralize those innovations though.
