1. Cause the law says so.

2. So the gubmint can tax you multiple ways.

3. It's a gubmint ID program

4. DMV's are a gubmint jobs program.

it's said that it is so hard for them to get an ID, it must make life rough. But at least they can vote.

apply for food stamps/welfare
get married
Board a plane
To get Social Security or Medicare
rent or purchase a house
get unemployment
apply for a hunting or fishing license
pick up many prescriptions

It is interesting that an 18 yr old can strap on a weapon and walk about with that weapon.

However that same individual must pass a hunter safety course to openly carry a weapon in our fields and woods.

In fact, anyone born after June 30th 1979 in SC must pass a Hunter Education course to carry a weapon in our fields and woods, but is free as a lark to carry the same weapon on our streets.

Spock would find this puzzling.

What article in Bill of Rights grants you the right to drive? Driving is a "privilege" , not a right.
