Would we still be on the edge of our seats about Saturday if we were playing Houston

Houston is a new and Big Time program coming up. They they also beat FSU and have a elite quarterback. Would we be so worried about them in our own home?

Louieville has the sting of the two previous close losses.

I appreciate the anxiety but it's just not happening for me with UL.

Great teams take every opponent very seriously

As Dabo says repeatedly, play to your standard - not to the perceived ability of an upcoming opponent.
Another thing to consider - the different between a 4 star player and a 2 or 3 star player is usually best expressed in the speed of their game. Using the 40 yard dash as a measure, that difference is about 1/4 of a second. That means that on any given day if a star player is just slightly off his game, he is susceptible to getting beat by well coached 2 or 3 star talent.
The up side of that is that Louisville fans who think the FSU game proved that they have superior talent are fooling themselves big time. FSU quit on that game in the first half while the Cards stayed on an adrenaline high and played their starters into the 4th quarter. If they think they're going to see a repeat of that this Saturday, they are going to be very disappointed.
If we really are a great team, if we come out and play to our standard and punch them in the mouth early, this game may not be a runaway but a Clemson victory will never be in doubt.

I think it's sort of like the whole it's going to snow today phenomenon. Everybody hears about it snowing everywhere else really bad so they're worried about it coming here.
To the same effect everybody sees Louisville beating everybody pretty convincingly so they're worried about them coming here and doing the same.
I think we're playing just about as well as we did last year up to this point. No worries here

Maybe not quite as "worried", but yes I'd be pumped. They are a good football team. I'm not really "worried" about Saturday, but these big games are great because of the suspense of finding out just how good our team is, and how they match up against one of the best teams in the country.
Same thing with the Bama game last year... I've been wanting to play them for the last 3-4 years because winning 10 games a year is fun, but if we can't match up with the top teams in the country, then we still have a lot to improve on before we can call ourselves one of the elite programs in college football.
To be the best, you've got to beat the best

We have the best DC in all of football. As long as the offensive guys don't plan too conservative, we win.

Hmm, was it that or did I say they wouldn't make the playoffs?

Don't think Houston's as good, and it would be OOC

But still would be a huge game. Houston can really stop the run, and they also have a dynamic QB. I think people would be pretty jacked, and I think Gameday would still be here.
