Were there any significant seasons wearing these Helmets? a throwback to the 1948 season our first 10 game undefeated season would be cool

Undefeated fluted cup to follow. Sadly the next season wasn't as good but we were just a couple of years away from Pell taking us to the Gator Bowl and the 34-3 thrashing Pittsburgh put on us.

Hey, I love the Ducks and their ever changing uni's. In my opinion that's THEIR thing and they can have it.
The Paw should be as Legendary as symbols like Coca-Cola and the New York Yankees logo (hate them, BTW). We need to be careful to keep it occasional and maintain the commitment to tradition and THE PAW!!!

yeah I was there and I have a problem. Nothing in that era remotely worth throwing back to. Idiot Hootie as HC, no Hill run, three runs and a punt, play for a long field goal if you get field position.

oh contrer, you forgot 1st undefeated home record 1974. Not that impressive compared to today, but a very big deal at the time.

I was a kid back then. Most of the games I would listen to by a little AM radio while sitting out in a corn field with my dad and uncle on dove hunts.
When I hear the word "gun" today I don't picture a gun in my mind. I picture my dad and uncle and myself and college football on the radio. Lotsa fried chicken, ice tea and coal slaw.

I’m gonna say those helmets were actually used through the 76 season as shown here. The next year they went to the white face mask and Tri stripe with tiger paw award stickers. And no there wasn’t anything worth throwing back to in 75-76 either lol.
