Would ANY of Tommy Bowden's CU teams beat this Clemson Team?

Sep 7, 2014, 4:04 PM

Remember in 2000, we went 9-0 until we ran into good defensive fronts that shut us down. That was arguable his best team with Rich Rod at the reigns and dantzler under center.

Was it the 2006 team that finished the season super hot?

63-17 and beat TN in the Peach Bowl...That team could probably handle this yr's. team.

My mistake 2003. How could I forget?

I think that team at the end of that year

Would be in the top 5 of Clemson teams. Ever.
Honestly.

They were rolling at the end. Few teams wanted any part of them at the end.

A few 80 s teams and maybe a team or 2 for dabo

But that is it..

Maybe 2003 late in the year, 2006 was pretty good***

By Comparison

Me, I like comparing what most people feel was Clemson's best defense ever, v/s their best offense ever.

Only if they lost to duke the week before they played this team!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No, they didn't have the defense. However, Ford's teams did.***

Well a couple of Bowden's teams had CJ Spiller. So, if this team wanted to beat them we better do a lot of pooch kicking on the kickoffs. Otherwise, I think Spiller might have a lot of 100 yard kickoff returns. I'd take Spiller over Gurley anytime when it comes to returning kickoffs.

I guess it would depend on how they played. The last year Rich Rod was at Clemson, we were literally capable of beating any team in the nation and also capable of getting beat by trash teams.
