Friday night, went to the Greenville Liberty soccer match, the ladies lost that one, but it was a good time.
Saturday, spent the day cleaning the house and going shopping to get ready for our cats 20th birthday party.
Sunday was the big day. Sharkgirl picked this boy and his sister up at a grocery story in San Diego when the was just weeks old past. His kidneys ain't what they used to be, but for now he's still kickin'. We had a host of friends over and RHSIS made an appearance. The spread included pork loin, mac and cheese, baked beans, and some special stuff for the boy. Here is a short of Odin still being a bit playful, at least when it comes to food.

This is what I spent the weekend doing. That lip welded into the body (1st photo) is one of the two of which the window gasket attaches. The outer lip gets welded in place I've finished welding that one and 'wire bushing,' the rusty spots on the other side of that member on which that lip is welded. I'm guessing a day to clean and treat those.
The second and third photos are shots at the underneath side of the metal upon which that lip is welded. There are 16 of these openings in another member below and the following photos are shot straight up beneath that welding sample. 14 of those openings are ~2 3/4" in diameter so while it requires eye protection and a dust mask it should be fairly easy to access. A couple toward the ends are going to be monsters to access. If I work steady all week I can finish (maybe) by Friday and get on to prepping for paint.
Lust of the eyes is a dreadful sin to bear.
Sorry for the resolution of those photos. Tnet resized them and I should have done it myself. PUTZ Message was edited by: ClemsonTiger1988®

Fri - 12:00, vision got blurry and laid down for 3 hrs
Did not sleep good atall on Fri night and woke up at 545 to go to the river.
Sat morning launched at Buzzard's roost and floated 7 miles while catching basses and took out at Chappells about 2:00. Purchased $69.69 worth of fuel on the drive home.
Got home, put everything away and laid down about 5:30 pm and woke up at 7:30 am. Skipped church.
Was feeling better and did some chores around the house and cut grass.

Friday, big storms passing through so scrapped any plans for outdoor wrestling or live music and rode up to Cabelas to spend the $24 in club points I had before they expired. There was nothing that I wanted or needed in thee whole place that wouldn't have required me to spend more money, so I walked out with a wild game summer sausage and a jar of cowboy candy jalapenos. Back home to eat, Mrs. made arepas with rice and beans. Kicked back in the Big Chair, had a few beers, and watched My Cousin Vinny. It never fails to make me laugh. Goodfellas came on after, but I was only able to make it about halfway through before crashing.
Saturday, Mrs. was taking a lifeguard course all day on the river, so I took the pup for a long hike then came home and grabbed a quick snack and then down to my buddy's music store. He's starting to make noise about retiring, so I figured I'd better go spend the store credit I had there (sensing a theme for the weekend?) sooner rather than later. LOTS of things I wanted, but the only thing I really needed was an acoustic guitar since I gave my nice old Washburn to Joonyer way back when. Sat around and played everything from fat hollowbody jazz guitars to traditional acoustics, and finally came away with this: https://www.washburn.com/product/allure-sc56s/
Nice sounding, nice playing (as good or better than the Taylors and Martins I tried in my budget), reasonable price (well, FREE because I had a LOT of store credit from some trade-ins a few years back), so happy camper. Met up with an old Clemson pal Saturday night and went down to the Red Rose Festival in Lancaster to see Mothers Finest. The stage placement hurt the sound a little bit but DANG the band still has all the chops these many years later.
Sunday, Mrs. was back at lifesaving class all day, so long hike with pup, grocery run, a few chores around the house, then we took Joonyer and DIL out to Blue Smokehouse in Fort Mill to celebrate his birthday this past week. Food was delish as always.
Definitely a 21/19 Covid weekend.

Friday - work from home 'cause daughter's award day at school in the morning. She got 2 awards for Beta Club leadership and Chorus. Had to check myself after it was over 'cause wife and I were remarking that she didn't get any academic awards...almost to the point of being disappointed. Finally said to self...she has all A's and 1 B in all honors classes, is self-motivated, did really well in volleyball and basketball, has a great group of friends, is active in church, and is a great girl. What more could we really want? Called myself an a-hole and carried on from there. Took wife, kids, and daughter's friend to dinner at Texas Roadhouse (place does a good job really...one of the better chains), then home for some family moving watching.
Saturday - made breakfast for the crew, piddled around the yard, don't remember too much else.
Sunday - grocery run, made kids killer sub sammies for lunch, took son over to his gf's house in Pendleton, made beef stew for in crockpot, took daughter for some practice driving, picked up son, hung some pictures around the house, watched something on TV.
Kind of meh

Fri - out early to Louisville to watch the convicts hit the golf ball
got a little too drunk. not drunk enough to not bang it out, but drunk enough to where Saturday was almost unbearable b/c my head hurt. wife was drunk enough to bang it out in an air bnb w/ 2 other couples in it
sidebar: one of my buddies wives booked the place. we were in the friggin HOOD. Louisville is a weird town, but I think it's because we were in the "trendy" part of town.
Sat - got to Valhalla around 9. dropped a couple G's in the merch tent. drank montucky cold snacks on the bus ride in. smashed Trannies all day. saw JT's chip in on 14. got horny lookin at all the dime pieces walkin around in lululemon dresses (which until Sattidee didn't know existed).
dropped the ladies off at the hospitality tent then spent a couple hours on the back w/ just the bros. fun layout, obviously impeccable shape, maybe not quite major worthy? Idk, weather surely didn't help.
Left pretty early, round 530.
ordered pizza in, got baked, drank bourbon, all of us were asleep by 930 lollers.
Sun - up early. in-laws brought chirren to us which was great. got them down. smashed. lounged around watched Xander hold em off.

Got to see Great Aunt. She was some what aware. Got to tell her I'm in ball inflation technologies because of her yelling at me in 5th grade. She said "well you needed to be yelled at"
Got to visit with a side of my family I haven't seen in years. Was good.
Sunday I didn't leave the couch.

have incredibly high IQs, +132 on the Stanford-Binet test. It was humbling to know that I was not the only one in the area with the mental clarity and capacity that i was born with. The conversations were great, really high level stuff.
Went to the yacht club later that night to get some dinner. Was really humbled to see the boats there that were bigger than mine. I thought for sure mine was the largest at the club but nope, some bigshots from the Northeast had ridden down in their yacht and it was really impressive. If we can close a few more deals, I may have to upgrade that that one.
Sunday we went to church like all good Christians do. The minister asked me to lead the congregation in a blessing, was really humbled that he would pick me out of all the good Christians there to deliver this blessing. Tied it into a little song and decided to lead the congregation in an additional hymn. Everyone was thanking me and shaking my hand at the end of the service, it really brought joy to my heart and was really humbling.
It was a decent weekend, hope my financial manager has good news for me at our weekly Monday call this afternoon. Momma wants a new beach house, the old one just isn't quite up to snuff, if you know what I am saying.

Friday just chilled out and watched some TV Saturday finished staining the deck which took much more stain than I originally expected. Watched Charlotte FC game which ended in a draw. Grilled some burgers on the fresh deck. Sunday took the wife to table rock state park and rented a little aluminum boat, fished the upper lake and caught some sunfish. Stopped by a trout spot on way back and tried but didn’t get anything but a DNR check which we passed. Ate at Chilis for dinner.

a big pick-up with tinted windows coming up the street at us slows way down, goes just past us and stops.
a teen-age girl jumps out and walks over saying 'can i please pet your dogs' she just lit up when i said yes. of course, being goldens the boys loved all the extra attention (they love everybody)
