And the ACC are toast if they directly add teams. Either way i don't think that's going to cut it.

I would agree with you. Two things: 1. Any team added to the conference requires them to agree to the GOR and all other teams to resign the GOR. 2. Making the championship game between the two conferences in my opinion changes the ACC agreement and may open a window for a GOR challenge in court.

No team in their right mind would sign onto the current ACC GOR. Any addition to the league requires all members to resign the GOR. I don't see Clemson, Miami and FSU agreeing to do that again.

I agree. Furthermore, i wonder if a "loose" partnership is enough for a team that wants out to argue the GOR needs immediate revision? In theory this partnership adds value to the league...does it not? Even if it is a sinking ship.
