WLOS dropping game broadcast

Oct 3, 2016, 6:39 PM

Does anyone know ### going on with channel 13 (WLOS) losing the telecast for the Louisville & Auburn games? When I talked to them, the guy told me to discuss it with my cable provider (Dish). Getting pissed with that 2-bit operation.

If DISH has a preferred ABC station carrying a different game, it may be prohibit broadcasting competing content on another DISH ABC station.

Just about the time the game got "interesting".
Talk about a surprise when it came back on....

There's something in these hills.

Dish does that frequently

Dish is bad about that. They dropped several channels on me until I dropped them and went back to Direct. They have issues too but at least I get to watch TV.

Don't pay these scheisters anymore $$...watch any game free

by streaming games online.

There are some sites (stream2watch, first row sports, etc.) where you can get any game live that is being televised regardless of location.

I hook up my MacBook to the big screen HDTV via HDMI cable and the quality is similar to direct feed from ESPN itself.

Just a couple of tips and tricks though...

1. I recommend Firefox browser with ad blocker installed...as a lot of these sites are inundated with pop ups and click ads.

2. Speaking of click ads, there will be a few you have to navigate around and click the tiny little "x" to close.

3. If a stream is down or not good quality, usually most games will have 2 or 3 (or up to 5 for premium games) back up feeds you can click on.

Happened on directv also.

It dropped out on over-the-air, too.

I don't have cable, just a big ol' antenna. My broadcast dropped just like everybody else, so it was either ABC or ESPN.

It's pronounced "L Heff A" and it means "The Boss".

WLOS responded back saying that It was a technical issue with our transmitter. We were able to get a back up going to get back the signal.

Really appreciate that.....

No Problems With WLOS on Charter***
