CFP Selection Committee

From HD on ESPN: Talked to CFP selection committee chair Jeff Long Thursday and he told me they are NOT considering the AP poll or any other poll when doing their top 25. They will make their first list based solely on their game film, stats, what they've seen. "It's what they've done thus far," Long said. "Some of those resumes don't have much on them thus far." Long guessed - just a guess - "it will be quite different than the AP and coaches poll."

If true, that would be good us, especially given the recent "Massacre in Miami."
