If I had to guess I'd say he'll get another year, although, I don't think he should. D Rad needs to make the expectations clear that next season needs to show considerable improvement or it's over for Monte.

It should be. And don't tell me about last year. We were 14-3, lost to Charleston 11-2. And had played no one. Our schedule was about to get tough and we were not hitting that good either. Who knows what may have happened.
We fired Jack because the program was stale and stagnated yet we had been competitive in the regionals. We have yet to be competitive in a regional under Lee... Even though we hosted a few, we got blown out.
Recruiting has not been good. After MLB class rank has been middle ACC. About where we are too. If anything, we've underperformed.
Zero in game coaching except via analytics.
Player progression? Instead player regression. I look at a USC upstate. They put the ball in play. We strike out looking and they're not even 3-2 counts.
We weren't even competitive in the uga games. An uga team that's 5th place in their division. So, in all likelihood, we'd consistently be at the bottom of our division if we played in the sec. We used to be one of the few ACC teams that consistently beat SEC teams.
With the exception of vandy and possibly one other sec team, they face the same recruiting restrictions we do. Don't quote common market place. That helped little.

What wins against top 20 programs this year. Name one other than a series win over NC State. They're ranked in/out top 25 and played a limited schedule. Cancelled series against Duke and a game with coastal.
The win over the coots? The one win against a pedestrian FSU team? It's baseball, good teams usually lose a game in a series. So which ones? We've won 2 games over teams in the top 30 rpi.

What's our record over uga the last 3 years. Upstate a minor league team, please. You missed the point on both accounts. It's called putting the ball in play. Today eptomizes our Monte teams. 13 strikeouts and 8 were looking. That's NOT putting the ball in play.

I'm thinking he gets another year, but this year was very bad and I could see there being enough pressure from boosters to go ahead and pull the trigger. Not sure if the right people have been vocal enough to DRad yet or not. I could see it being Super Regional or bust for next year though.

Delaying the decision one year is only going to put the program in a deeper hole. If it isn’t clear to you by now that Monte is not the person to lead this once proud program forward then you’ve had blinders on the past six seasons.
