Went to see a gastroenterologist about something in OCTOBER. Scheduled a colonoscopy for tomorrow. Called and cancelled because I have the flu, per my doctor. Went to reschedule. APRIL 21ST? For a friggin issue I went to see the doctor for originally in OCTOBER the prior year.

It's the amount of people that don't take care of themselves, get sick, and take up all of the available appointments over a 3 month spam. Hope your bhole is ok

^ bingo. And the occasional MRI machine breaks and pushes procedures back weeks. I can't belive hospitals don't have backups with such demand.

For imaging, pay out of pocket if you can afford it...

It's usually a couple hundred bucks and you can have it done next day.

I had a doctor cancel an appointment day-of because it was raining.

The appointment took 3 months between booking and appointment date. I had taken off work, gotten up early, and was ready to roll, and I got a text about 15 min before saying that he'd canceled all his appointments that day due to the rain. The rain. Freaking rain, y'all.
Changed doctors that same day, as it was just one of many frustrating instances I'd had with that guy. Reminded me that even C's make degrees, and not all doctors were A students.

A year ago it took six months to schedule my colonoscopy and they were looking for what was causing an issue. My time I had it, my issue had cleared up, but I still needed one since it had been 5 years.
