Will Clemson increase the number of new signees?

Right now we have a number of really good recruits. Quality over quantity? Still would be nice to be signing 20 4 stars like some. I'm sure we'll fill it up before it is all said and done.

I doubt that we'll fill all the way up on our scholarship limit for the 2022 class, unless there are truly legitimate good FB prospects.

Instead, the 2022 class will be filled with walk-ons whom ... some of whom will work out (i.e., W.Taylor types or [as was the case with UGA ... Stetson Bennett types]) and get scholarships later ... and some of whom won't work out, and will decide to stop playing football (i.e., one of Kirk Herbsteit's boys).

In other words, we won't waste scholarships on the true 'reach' prospects, while the 'lesser known but still questionable probability of success' candidates will be invited as walk ons.

Portal players (whether in the near future or perhaps in the summer) will make up the remainder of the scholarship spots.

This of course is a JMO deal.

I think the amount of portal signees will be very low, Dabo might budge on offering a few more recruits per year but to be honest, after this year I think we've just seen the floodgates open this year for everyone. You're going to see a lot more of the free agency that this year looked like. It definitely won't be just Clemson, though it will seem to affect the Tigers more since they are more selective.
