Best team ever?

Is this years squad the best Clemson football team to ever take the field? We are scoring more points than any team in Clemson history, led by a defense that is as dominant so far as any we have had. We are deep at every position besides QB and secondary.
I still think that the 2015 team that lost to Bama in the Championship game was our best team ever, but this team could change my mind with about 7 more wins

They are close, but if I had to choose between the two years (2015 and 2016) I think I would take the 2015 team because of the defense we had. That year I think we had one of the most complete defenses with Mack Alexander, Kearse, DOD, Boulware, Dodd, Shaq Lawson, Carlos Watkins, etc. The offense was almost identical. We also didn't lose any regular season games and really I thought we were the better team in the Champ game, Bama just had better breaks

In 2015 we have almost no depth though, that's what hurt us against bama
|

even with alexander struggling and lawson and Mike Williams out vs Bama, I still thought we were clearly the better team that day.

The problem with the 2015 team is that the defense kind of

fell apart down the stretch. 2016 team had a slightly worse offense (couldn't run as well), but a better D. 2016 team had a higher ceiling IMO, but played in cruise control for too much of the regular season.

If we only had a little better coverage on that TE Howard, we would be back to back champs.
