Why shouldn't we hold our #1 spot?

We are undefeated, 10-0, wins over current #4 and #17.
Bama has 1 loss. Yes, we "only" won on the road by double digits against an unranked team and Bama beat #17.. but it was just 2 weeks ago Bama beat an unranked Tenn team by 5 at home. Every team has close games.
Ohio State, undefeated, inc a 7 point win at Indiana, and an impressive 7 point win at home over... N Illinois. Best win, Penn St?? I don't know, but none have been ranked.
Baylor.. well, bye.
ND, that head to head ahould still count right?
Undefeated Iowa.. a 5pt win at home over a 4 win Minnesota team.
Ok State jump us? Had to come from behind to win by 4 over a 3 win Iowa St team.
Utah, #10, bye.
So was it a 30 pt win, nope. But it was the win that kept the best team in America undefeated.
For another week, we are #1. This team gutted out a conference road win tonight and was never in danger of losing. 10-0, destiny is in our hands.. finish strong Tigers.

But if we were to fall, so long as we're in the top 4, it might work out well to put a chip back on their shoulders to get the team to tighten back up. I still think we should be #1.

Bama will likely not have a single win against teams in this week's top 15, and we will likely have two. What else does the committee need to know, to keep Bama from jumping us?

I try to think hard and still think that the committee still wouldn't justify giving Alabama #1 spot. I know we didn't play well and Alabama beat Mississippi State soundly. But LSU's loss today doesn't help and Alabama still has a loss against an unranked team in the current standings. (And that team lost to Memphis who lost to Houston and Temple who lost to Notre Dame.)

While the #1 ranking is great, with the CFP at 4 teams I don't care nearly as much about the #1 ranking as some as long as we stay in the top 4. If the Tigers continue to win and make it, it won't matter if they were #1 or #4. As long as they win, the result will be the same.

the win was good and should be celebrated. When you consider the rest of the top 10 yesterday, we had a pretty good day.
